"You kiss well." Lucien blushed with pleasure. "At your service," he answered, bowing. Still, he would rather have kissed Fanny. They parted around half past twelve because of the last metro. Lucien was joyful; he leaped and danced in the Rue Raynouard and thought, "It's in the bag." The corners of his mouth hurt because he had smiled so much.
